Flagyl, Generic name Metronidazole.
Flagyl is an oral antiprotozoal and antibacterial. It works by entering the bacterial cell, acting on certain components of the cell, killing the bacteria.
CAUTION
Flagyl has been shown to cause cancer in animal studies.
Do not use Flagyl if it is not necessary. Une Flagyl for the condition for which it is prescribed.
Common Side Effects of Flagyl
- nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea
- headache, dizziness, loss of balance
- vaginal itching or discharge
- dry mouth or unpleasant metallic taste
- cough, sneezing, runny or stuffy nose
- swollen or sore tongue.
