Acomplia® (Rimonabant) is a weight loss medication that works by selectively blocking the CB1 receptors in your brain, which controls your food intake in your body. When these receptors are blocked, your brain suppresses your appetite, and over time changes your eating cycle so your body knows when it is full, hence you require less food. This helps you to lose weight.
