CHANTIX (also known as Champix) is a nicotine-free pill that works in the brain to block the pleasurable effects of smoking, which in turn helps to decrease your need to smoke.

CHANTIX helps your body get ready and maintain the urge not to smoke. You need to plan a quit date to stop smoking before taking Chantix. Start taking 1 tablet a day one week before your quit date. After your first week, Chantix is designed to be taken twice a day for 12 weeks. When you have reached your quit date, stop smoking and continue to take Chantix as recommended by your healthcare professional.
